The petroleum giant has selected office space at Bedfont Lakes, as its new headquarters (HQ). BP intends moving its marketing and refining staff from the current Surrey office rental into three office buildings in the west of the London. The new West London offices will be at 1, 5 and 7 New Square, Bedfont Lakes, TW16.
In August, it was revealed that Jones Lang LaSalle had been instructed to find a new headquarters of circa 80,000 sq ft. It is understood that the BP’s requirement focused mainly on space close to its existing headquarters at Sunbury Business Park in Sunbury, Middlesex. In particular, BP had been considering the following office locations: Stockley Park in Uxbridge and The Heights in Weybridge, with Bedfont Lakes in Feltham proving the best overall destination.
Beyond Petroleum (BP) will be joining The Home Office and the global IT corporations of Cisco and IBM, as they are among the blue-chip tenants already renting offices at this west London business park.
BP's major office relocation is considered to be the biggest office letting in the south-east this year, since the 90,000 sq ft offices pre-let to Saipem at Rockspring’s Kingston upon Thames development.
