i2 Office has acquired Landmark, a rival serviced office group, whose headquarters reside in a prime location in the Salesforce Tower in the City of London. This act brought together two of the UK’s largest serviced office operators.
i2 Office is a rapidly expanding business centre operator run by John Spencer, who left Regus in April 2016. The company operates 35 business centres, in locations such as London, Birmingham, Aberdeen, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Leeds. It was founded in 2009 and mainly occupies prime locations on 10 year leases in major city centres.
Landmark has been operating for 10 years and holds six serviced offices in the City and West End. However Landmark will not dissapear from the industry market. It has been implied that i2 and Landmark will continue to operate each under their own brand.
Combined, the two companies now manage the most serviced offices in the UK after global industry leader Regus. They are now tied with Business Environment Group, which hold the most workstations after Regus.
A representative of the two companies described the deal as ‘business as usual’.
