Orega's Liverpool building at 20 Chapel Street.
The company has taken the first and second floors on a 10-year lease and is expected to occupy the space in June 2017. This property will be the third centre in Orega’s portfolio that is owned by BAPTL, along with the South Quay Building in Canary Wharf and the Silver Fin Building in Aberdeen. Orega’s locations outside of London also include Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham and Brussels.
Developer Canmoor had bought the freehold for 20 Chapel Street on behalf of BAPTL last year for £20m. The Director of Canmoor, Sam Walker, said: “The last few months have been extremely positive and it’s great to see new tenants as well as existing occupiers signing up to long term leases.” Completed in 2008, the building amounts to 155,000 sq ft of office space across 15 floors.
Zach Douglas, managing director of Orega Serviced Offices, added: “We are excited about our flourishing relationship with BAPTL and look forward to providing a new, professional working environment to entrepreneurs and businesses in Liverpool with a trusted landlord who is investing heavily in the building. The new centre will be our first in Liverpool, offering fully serviced offices, modern meeting rooms and excellent break out areas in one of the city’s most striking buildings.”
