Embankment underground station provides access to the Bakerloo, Circle, District and Northern lines. The London River Services have boats operating from Embankment Pier, Westminster Millennium Pier and Blackfriars Millennium Pier along Victoria Embankment. A cycle track that is kerb-protected also runs along much of Victoria Embankment.

The Embankment Place shopping centre has an array of high street names and fashion brand names, as well as cafés and eateries. There are further local stores and independent traders along Embankment selling a variety of goods including vintage clothes, shoes, books, soft furnishings and antiques.
South Bank is across the river from Embankment, which is easily accessible via the Golden Jubilee Bridges, providing further food and entertainment options, in addition to a number of iconic landmarks.
