About Romford

Romford is a large and vibrant town in the Borough of Havering in East London. Once a market town, Romford has experienced great levels of growth over the years and is now one of the biggest commercial areas outside of central London, with a thriving retail, entertainment and leisure economy. It has become a popular business address as it offers affordable office rentals with great facilities and excellent links into the capital.

The close proximity of Essex’s countryside as well as the business opportunities that London provides give companies the best of both worlds. The key areas of industry in Romford are retail, hospitality, service firms and the arts, with commercial office space providing a large proportion of the economic value of this area. The main business district can be found close to the railway station, but there are other pockets of activity elsewhere in the town.

There are several attractions in and around the area, including the Upminster Windmill, Havering Country Park, Old McDonald’s Farm and Valence House.
