North London Office Guide

About North London

North London is packed with character and has a thriving multicultural population, giving it a cosmopolitan feel that sets it apart from the rest of the city. It is also a major cog in the economic wheel of the capital, with a workforce of over 300,000 people located in offices in North London. The North London triangle encapsulates Kings Cross and Islington up to Highgate, Finsbury Park and Muswell Hill, as well as Tufnell Park, Southgate and Edmonton. It is packed with charming urban villages and vibrant neighbourhoods that make it a fun and exciting place to work outside of the centre of London.

This is one of the oldest districts of London and is now a mix of leafy residential streets and commercial hubs. In particular, areas like Finsbury Park and Kings Cross have seen great regeneration over the years and are now a hive of development. The public sector accounts for much of the employment in this area, closely followed by the financial sector. Retail and creative businesses are also found in abundance here, with around 3,000 businesses in the area within the arts and creative industries.

North London Serviced Office Space

North London includes a number of prime business locations, from Angel and Islington to Hoxton and Highbury. The great transport links make it a great location for journeying into the centre of London without the high price tags these areas attract. For this reason, it is a great choice for start-ups seeking a London postcode or businesses who do not necessarily need to be in the heart of the city.

Offices here are available in renovated warehouses and refurbished period buildings, providing office space with character and charm, as well as more contemporary purpose-built commercial premises which are stylish and spacious. Flexible leases, the option for private or coworking offices, and options for small, mid-size and large teams make this an attractive option for businesses in a host of different sectors.

Nearby Areas

North London is nestled between Walthamstow to the east, Edgware and Wembley to the west, Mayfair and Kensington to the south, and Potters Bar and Hatfield in the north.

A trip from Holloway to Victoria takes around 35 minutes, while Brent Cross to Charing Cross Station is around 40 minutes. There are various local bus routes for easy access around different neighbourhoods too.

Food and Leisure

Camden Passage Market has a number of extensive and eclectic shops and market stalls selling everything from vintage clothes to antiques. Blackstock Road, located between Hackney and Islington, is great for independent shops and cafés and makes for a lovely wander on a lunchbreak. If you want to shop at high street stores, then Liverpool Road in Islington is the ideal location. Nag’s Head in Holloway is great for shopping and dining, with great pubs for drinks with colleagues after a day in the office. In terms of culture, there are four theatres in this part of the city, including the world-famous Sadler’s Wells dance venue. There are also plenty of open spaces and leisure opportunities between Highbury Fields and Clissold Park as well.
