Pernod Ricard has announced that it will relocate its UK head office to Chiswick Park.

The prestigious West London office development has recently changed ownership for £780m. Previously owned by a group of UK and Canadian pension funds via the Chiswick Park Unit Trust (ChisPUT), the popular Chiswick Business Centre is now owned by the China Investment Corporation (CIC). The global drinks company will move into offices on the same campus as Absolut Vodka.  Singapore Airlines and PepsiCo are also among the impressive list international tenants. Chiswick Park occupies a 33-acre site that has been sensitively landscaped to feature ornamental ponds and also boast a full range of cafés and leisure facilities.  In fact, the Starbucks Coffee Company is another famous brand that has chosen to rent office space in Chiswick Park.

With excellent road and train links to Heathrow Airport and central London, the Chiswick office rental has also attracted several TV and Film companies, most notably CBS News, United International Pictures, Paramount Pictures International and Vue Entertainment. The French-headquarted drinks group is reported to have signed a sublet agreement with The Walt Disney Company.  Disney has allocated Pernod 40,000 sq ft within Building No.12 at a rent of £47/sq ft. These air-conditioned offices are positioned just across the road from Gunnersbury train station at the Chiswick High Road entrance to the park.

Pernod had sought advice from Gerald Eve prior to the decision to move east from Hounslow to Chiswick Park. Hammersmith was among the alternative locations that were under consideration. Last year, Pernod was in negotiations to lease 37,000 sq ft of W6 office space within 10 Hammersmith Grove.  The first phase of this 275,000 sq ft Hammersmith development was recently opened by the joint venture partners Development Securities and Scottish Widows.
