About Battersea
Located in South West London, Battersea is a thriving commercial area, boasting Victorian architecture, green spaces and riverside buildings. Once largely farmland, the Industrial Revolution and the arrival of the railway transformed Battersea into a busy industrial hub with lots of factories built in the area. The area is famous for the disused Battersea Power Station, which is now being redeveloped to bring new homes, modern office space, restaurants, shops and entertainment space.
The most unspoilt part of Battersea is the old village, south of the church. Notable areas include New Covent Garden Market, Battersea Park, Battersea Power Station, Shaftesbury Park Estate, the Pump House Gallery and Battersea Arts Centre.

Transport Connections
Although there aren’t any railway stations in Battersea, Queenstown Road and Clapham Junction are within walking distance, and the underground can be accessed via Clapham Junction as well. There is a planned Battersea tube station for 2020, a Northern line extension, which is sure to attract businesses to office premises in the area. There are also several bus routes that serve the area.
Shops and Eateries
Northcote Road in Battersea is a shopping haven featuring charming boutique shops, like The Hive Honey Shop, Brissi Interiors and Whistles. Alongside contemporary office space, there are a variety of restaurants, bars and cafés, such as the Michelin-starred Chez Bruce, the Battersea Barge, a restored 1930s Dutch boat with an interesting past, and the Birdhouse, a modern, peaceful coffee shop serving some of the best coffee in south London.
