Cardiff

The capital of Wales, Cardiff is the country’s major commercial centre and a popular tourist city. Cardiff is the main finance and business hub in Wales, with the office headquarters of a number of high-profile companies based in Cardiff. There is a strong presence of media and production companies, engineering firms, and finance and banking companies.

In the early 19th century, Cardiff became a major port for coal transport and the city began to grow significantly. Industry has been a major driver of Cardiff’s development over the years, firstly in coal and later in iron and steel. Cardiff’s port area, known as Tiger Bay, was the busiest port in the world at one time. Today, after years of decline, the port is steadily growing again.

Cardiff has undergone major development with a new waterfront area in Cardiff Bay, the Wales Millennium Centre arts complex, a new business district, Cardiff International Sports Village and the Principality Stadium, making it an incredibly exciting place to base your business.
