About Gateshead
Located on the River Tyne, Gateshead is known for its iconic architecture, such as the Angel of the North and the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. With a history of traditional industries of coal mining and heavy engineering, Gateshead now houses a diverse range of businesses in a mix of office premises. National train services at Dunston and the MetroCentre run to a number of UK areas, including London King’s Cross, Newcastle and Edinburgh. The A1 runs through Gateshead, linking to London and Edinburgh and the A184 links Gateshead to Sunderland.

The MetroCentre is a major shopping centre, housing a plethora of high street names, fashion brands, department stores, cafés and eateries. Trinity Square shopping centre also has a wide range of shops.
