About Amersham

Amersham is a pretty market town in Buckingham, located near Aylesbury and High Wycombe. Amersham is situated in the Chiltern Hills, boasting beautiful scenery with excellent transport links. Amersham is made up of two distinct areas – Old Amersham and Amersham-on-the-Hill. Old Amersham contains historic buildings while Amersham-on-the-Hill is a newer part of the town centred around the train station.

Early trade in Amersham was local grain, which was mostly sold to London merchants. During the 17th and 18th centuries, the key industries in the town were brewing, tanning, lace manufacture and brickmaking. William Weller purchased the brewery in Amersham in 1775, expanding the business and buying local public houses. Today, a wide range of businesses are located in Amersham, including well-known healthcare and technology companies.

Office Space in Amersham

The former manufacturing and brewing industries left a variety of buildings and warehouses, many of which have been converted into stylish offices, offering plenty of room and character. For companies looking for more modern office facilities, there are several dedicated office business centres to suit all budgets located in Amersham.

Transport Connections

Tenants renting office space in Amersham benefit from good transport links. Amersham is linked to the Metropolitan line of the London Underground (the last station) and most of it is shared with the mainline railway service, running from Marylebone to Aylesbury.

Amersham also has great road links, with the A413 and A355 within easy reach, providing convenient connections to the M40 and M25.

Food, Drink and Amenities

Alongside a range of office premises, there are a wide range of boutique fashion stores, independent traders, local stores, farm shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs and of course, town markets. Amersham is home to some beautiful period hotels and old coaching inns including The Crown, the Kings Arms Hotel, the Missenden Abbey and the De Vere Latimer Estate.
