About Borehamwood
Borehamwood is town in Hertfordshire situated between St Albans and London. The area is well-known for its connection to multiple film and TV studios, although only two sites of significance remain in use, known as the Elstree Studios. Many of the old film and television studios have been converted into office blocks.
From the 1920s, Borehamwood was a hub for UK film and television with several production studios located here, attracting companies from the media and production industries to office space in the area. Many streets in the area have been featured in 20th century British films, earning Borehamwood the nickname of ‘British Hollywood’.
