About Westminster

Westminster sits in the city of Westminster on the north bank of the river Thames, providing companies with a world-renowned office address. It is home to the British government and as a result, regularly features in the media, making it one of the most famous areas of the city on a global scale. There is a huge number of landmarks here, including Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and Westminster Cathedral. It is bounded by some of London’s most affluent areas and is just a short distance from the River Thames, placing it in one of the most desirable locations in the capital.

It is no surprise that Westminster is one of the most appealing office locations for businesses, particularly those in the legal sector. But there are plenty of other sectors represented in this part of the city, including investment companies, business management consultancies and professional services, as well as financial advisors and television studios. While this is one of the most sought-after locations in the whole of London, it also provides companies with a brilliant address and an air of prestige that few other locations can match.

Westminster Office Space

Throughout the Westminster area, professionals and business owners will find a wonderful selection of office spaces with plenty of character and great facilities. From converted period properties that exude sophistication and classic style to modern furnished spaces that are great for companies looking to impress, there is a wide variety of styles to choose from. There are commercial premises to suit businesses of all different sizes, from small teams to larger companies with over 180 members of staff. Offices here can also be rented on a serviced or unserviced basis, depending on the needs of the individual company.

The superb public transport connections mean that commuters will find it easy to get around the city and to access destinations beyond the borders of the capital. There are also several car parks within easy reach of the centre of the area including the Q-Park Victoria and the Horseferry Car Park.

Nearby Areas

Westminster is bordered by Pimlico, Belgravia and the River Thames. It forms part of Central London and sits within the Borough of Westminster. Green Park and St James’s Park are both on the outskirts of the Westminster area, with the area of St James’s just north of the park, and provide a popular attraction in themselves as well as a wonderful spot to relax during the day.

Transport Links

Offices in Westminster are surrounded by an abundance of transport connections. Westminster has its own Tube station, while St James’s Park is also close by, providing commuters with access to the Jubilee, Circle and District lines. For mainline services, there is Victoria Station, Blackfriars and Charing Cross, all of which are within easy reach of Westminster. From Victoria Station, Paddington is 17 minutes away and Bank is 16 minutes away – journeys to Kings Cross take a similar amount of time, providing easy access to the Eurostar from here as well.

For road access, the M4 is the closest motorway, and there are also numerous bus routes and taxis in the area too. Heathrow Airport is around a 47-minute journey from here while London City Airport is just under an hour away. The Gatwick Express from Victoria Station means this airport is just a 33-minute journey from Westminster.

This location is packed with fantastic options for professionals to make the most of. One of the most popular restaurants in Westminster is The Cinnamon Club which has a brilliant reputation for serving up excellent Indian food with a twist. There is also great Japanese food at Dinings which makes for a great lunch option too. For coffee, office workers are spoiled for choice with the classics like Starbucks alongside independent options like Iris and June and Costa Pronto. There are plenty of shops close by, from high street stores to independent boutiques, as well as supermarkets like Waitrose for picking up last minute food items on the way home.

In terms of entertainment, Westminster doesn’t disappoint. There is a wide variety of landmarks to explore on lunchbreaks or after work, such as Westminster Abbey, as well as plenty of leafy spaces to enjoy a relaxing walk in.
