Surprisingly, the two rival cities have joined forces in order to make an attractive offer of office space to foreign businesses. This should hopefully boost the North West’s economy, which is much needed at this very troubled financial time.
This project has been called ‘Hello Liverpool’ and ‘Hello Manchester’ and offers a free desk space within a Serviced Office building for up to 12 months.
A plethora of Serviced Office Providers are on board with the scheme, and the Northwest Regional Development Agency DTZ have revealed that 17% of regional gross value comes from foreign companies. Therefore, this scheme should encourage economic growth for both Liverpool and Manchester.
Northwest Regional Development Agency’s Mark Hughes commented “The North-West is well known for its friendly hospitality and welcoming population, and we are also one of the best-performing regions for foreign direct investment. The Hello service brings these two important characteristics together and should help us secure more investment”.
